What size do you need anyhow? Are you small-boned, or doe you have friction' cankles? I'm pretty sure I'd be a size 4. I honestly have no clue though. I'm a size 12 boot and I'd say I have average thickness ankles, I think. 4 was what I was going to order from WPG. I don't think originals came in size 4. Go with WPG. I know that Crown Surplus in Calgary has a ton, but I believe they are mostly, if not all, size 1...

I'll have to try them to be sure. For all I know size 4 could be waayy to big.

I agree with Der Hauptmann, I think they only came in sizes 1, 2 and 3.

I'm fairly sure they went to size 4. However, reproductions are now available for size 5 (No surprise, really, when you look at re-enacting today).
Just a quick measure, over my boots, I have 36 cm. I've always had tree trunks for legs. I'm a size 4, but I couldn't find any so I use a size 5 bought from Epic Militaria or Soldier of Fortune. Can't remember.
Anyway, I can't wait! Going to be good.

You're right Tyler - they went to size 4. I've never seen a 4 myself. I'd imagine they are pretty rare.

Hey everyone.
Just wanted to say I had a great time yesterday and it was a pleasure to meet all the new faces and see some ugly old familiar faces too lol!! Special thanks to all of you that drove for multiple hours to get some trigger time in, I greatly appreciate the effort!!
I seen some really good impressions and kit yesterday that I don't see around too often. I'd love to hit up a modern game with all of us on one team. It would be killer.
I hope to see you all again soon!

UPDATE - re: helmet hunt. Ok, right now I have an original shell, repro liner (7 1/2 I think), original net/scrim and original chinstrap - but nothing put together. I'll see if I can find a complete original. Just need to shuffle some bags around and dig a bit to see what's buried away deep down... Stay tuned!
