Where: Silvercreek Paintball near Camrose
When: Saturday April 18th, 2015
Cost: $10 field fee
Time: 10:00 am to roughly 4 or 5 pm
Please post if you can make it to the game and what side you'll be representing (Axis or Allies). If you have questions or concerns, post below. New comers are welcome! If you are wondering what WW2 airsoft is all about or are just getting your kit together, come on out and experience a taste of WW2!
To keep some historical accuracy and to respect those who have actually put tons of their time and money into keeping WW2 airsoft authentic and accurate, there will be some limitations on uniforms and weapons for those of you who do not have a WW2 load out. Please respect these limitations.
Weapons
All period WW2 weapons are acceptable. All modern full-auto weapons will be restricted to semi-auto only (except for LMGs). Only iron sights will be permitted, so no optics, tactical grips, flash lights, lasers, etc, no extra accessories on any guns!
Exceptions: bolt action sniper rifles, only scopes, no bipods. LMG's are permitted to have bipods.
Uniforms
No modern camo will be permitted EXCEPT for German Flectarn, as this resembles the Dot pattern used during WW2 by some German units. No ghillie suits will be permitted. Some WW2 equipment is better than no WW2 equipment! If you are still piecing together a WW2 load out, come out anyway.
For those of you who do not own any WW2 gear: to represent the Allies, OD green OR beige/tan uniforms/jumpsuits are necessary. To represent the Axis, grey or dark blue uniforms/jumpsuits are necessary. To represent "resistance fighters/collaborators", go to a second hand store like Value Village and find an old school pair of dress pants, plain dress shirt, vest or sports coat, and an old man's hat to look the part. No street shoes or runners will be permitted. No modern tactical vests will be permitted, use satchels or a belt system to carry ammo. A belt and a dump pouch works just as well. Eye protection is a must, and face protection is advised.
If anyone has questions about uniforms or weapons, please ask! Exceptions can be made possible
April 18th, 1945
The war is nearly over, yet fighting continues with ferocity. Within days of uniting Russian and U.S. forces at the Elbe River and pressing on to Berlin to finally end the war, much of Southern Germany remains volatile, containing unrelenting pockets of resistance. Casualties mount with every passing day, but are especially concentrated in the Silberbach region. The region is filled with small towns, defensive trench networks, bale fields, and an old fortress, providing an excellent defence in depth that will make for terrifying close quarters combat. This is German territory, and will be fought for every inch with every drop of blood, muzzle to muzzle, fist to fist, and blade to blade. The Axis forces must repel the invaders to save their Homeland, while the Allies must drive out the enemy and end this war!
The Game
I don't have any concrete "mini milsim" game plans yet as I have honestly never been to Silvercreek Paintball and can't plan a layout accordingly. I do know that they have a couple towns/large buldings, trench network, fort, forest, and hay bale field. We can do different game modes at these different playing fields, like Team Deathmatch, Wave Defence, Extract the Intel, Capture the Flag, VIP or hostage games, etc. we can play it by ear and just go nuts!
