ABSCHIEDSKAMPF
The Farewell Battle
When: Saturday June 27th
Where: Warpaint - 45 mins. east of Calgary
What time: HARD START at 10am – no airsoft time!
Who: Anyone with a WWII bent
Why: A last chance to play with Feldwebel Rainer Schmidt before he moves to BC
Cost: Field fees at Warpaint - $20 for the day.
The Story:
Two squads of battle-hardened veterans – one Axis, one Allied – have become lost in the hell of the Battle of the Reichswald. With little supplies and no hope of reinforcement, they must fight as best they can, and with whatever they can scrounge and carry. Ammunition is officially at a premium, and at this stage, every single shot counts. An Allied victory in the war is assured; survival in this fight to the death is not. Welcome to the final battle. Welcome to the Abschiedskampf.
The Game:
The day is planned as a realcap/bolt action/handgun battle. Rifles and handguns can carry whatever ammo their mags will accommodate. ALL FULL AUTO WEAPONS ARE LIMITED TO 32-ROUND PER MAG. No exceptions. There may be a few objectives, but I think the focus will be on fighting, not fucking around. Personally, I'm itching to get my K98 into action. And I think that SMGs will really feel toothless with the ammo caps. This will be about as close to real as it gets in airsoft. I HIGHLY recommend copious amounts of smoke. Grenades like ThunderBs and such are welcome. Manoeuvre will be quite dependent on cover and distraction. Naturally, camo will be de rigueur.
We’ll go until our legs give out.
Thereafter, libations, and perhaps some nice sausage or a piece of Scho-ka-kola.
WOO!!
Yay or nay to this game right here.
