What: WWII Airsoft Game
Where: Warpaint
When: Saturday, June 18th - 10am sharp start
Who: You, motherfucker!
Why: Shits/giggles. Why else?
Cost: $20 – the field fee

1944.
Despite being in almost full retreat on every front, the German army remains an implacable foe. Operating in small units spread all over the countryside, Heer and SS units are exacting a terrible price for every yard gained in the push on Germany. Allied victory will come at a heavy cost as enemy units fight to the last bullet, last shell, and last man. The resilience of the soldiers on both sides is impressive.
YOUR OBJECTIVE:
1. Fight/resupply by taking objectives – There’s no ammo delivery in the field. If you need to reload, you’ll have to scrounge off your comrades, or take an objective. So bring your speed loaders and BBs!
2. Kill the enemy! – Duh…
We’ll start at 10am sharp, so be at the field by 9 to prep/load/fag about. That means you’ll be leaving Calgary at about 8 am to get to Warpaint on time.
Details/Rules
In this real-cap scenario, the Allies and Axis will take objectives to stay supplied and keep fighting. Objectives will be marked and will consist of buildings as well as field locations. Each team will be allowed to RELOAD ONLY IN THE OBJECTIVES - not in your HQ; not on the run. You will deploy only with the ammo you can carry.
Each team will have a mobile spawn point and a flag. Mobile spawn points are self-explanatory. Flags are used to take objectives. You can’t lose your flag, so don’t worry about having it stolen.
Reloading
Ammo is limited, but only by your elan. Take an objective and reload. Can’t take an objective cause it’s being held? Take an uncontested objective. There are many of them, but they’re almost impossible to hold as you may only fully reload in each one ONCE each time you take it. That’s right, you’ll be taking and retaking a building or whatnot, reloading, fighting to hold it, but eventually, the press of fighting, and your own dwindling ammo will force you to take another – just to keep fighting. It’s shitty, but hey, ain’t war hell?!? You can always come back and take it again. So, as you can see, there’s no end to this fight. Just take and lose objectives over and over again. Like I said, ain’t war hell?!? Oh, and NO – YOU CANNOT RELOAD AT HQ. Something about supply lines, or something… Ain’t war hell?!?

YOU CAN CARRY ONLY WHAT YOU WOULD HAVE CARRIED IN WWII :
• Bolt action – whatever a mag can hold
• Handguns – whatever a mag can hold
• SMGs – max 32 rounds/mag.
• Hicaps – 1 mag - 200 rounds max.
• LMGs – 1 mag – whatever it’ll hold
Mags
The number of mags you can carry is determined by your gear – Running an MP40 – 7 mags – 1 in the gun, plus 6 in your pouches. Thompson – usually 1 in your gun, plus 5 in your pouches.
Drum mags – if all you have is a drum (eg PPSh) 200 rounds is all you get. If hicap mags are the only thing you can use (eg STG44) then 200 in that hicap is all you get.
Bolt action and handguns – no limits.
Grenades
Yup. Bring em. ThunderBs, Tornados, dummies, and smoke. For dummies and sound ‘nades, if it lands within 10 feet of you, and you have no cover, you’re dead. No heavy metal dummy ‘nades, for obvious reasons.
Respawning
At your HQ, or at your mobile spawn point. Each side has one of each. Deploy your mobile point judiciously – if you find you can’t spawn at your mobile point anymore, you’ll have to go to your HQ, which sucks shit. Same things goes if your whole team is wiped out in one fell swoop. You all have to go respawn at HQ. 30 seconds to respawn, so catch your breath, and go!
Medics
We’ll do a “buddy medic” thing a la Jesse Karius – each player gets a couple of bandaids. If you’re hit, a buddy can come to your aid by applying one of your bandaids to your arm or whatever. Voila – instant revive!
Combat
Call your hits – LOUDLY!
Kill rags are highly encouraged!
Mercy kills encouraged but not required.
AVOID HEADSHOTS FROM RIFLES PLEASE!!
How to take an objective
Get your flag into it. It must be carried in (in the case of buildings) or planted (in the case of on-field objectives).
